Such an incredible guy, really nice to talk too and I learned a lot from his lecture at the 2012 Massive Black workshop. There is always such a magic to his work, I’m always visiting his etsy hoping to snag a print one day. It’s difficult to put into words the sort of impact his work has on me. It’s like a feeling I resonate with. But magical as well in that sense, always has a feeling of journey and exploration to it. Inward and outward.
His work is always filled with wonder.

Kekai is one of those artists who just take your breath away and in the same turn makes you want to paint. Every time I go through his work I always feel so positively energized as an artist. Kekai is so cool. The storytelling in his work is just so damn powerful.

I own all of Sparth’s art books and whenever I feel in a rut, I page through them and feel inspired everytime. Sometimes I’ll just linger sitting there thinking on a picture what it would be like to explore around in that setting. The atmosphere of the air, the sort of denizens and creatures that live there. His work is always taking my imagination on a journey.

Janaschi has been doing some brilliant portraits lately and I can’t help but share. Jana is the sweetest person to talk too and it was mindblowing watching her paint at the 2012 Massive Black Workshop. If you ever get a chance to go to one definitely do it you won’t regret it. It’s absolutely fantastic.
